Culture of Contact Episode 35 - Debbie Kauble & The Possible Indiana UFO Crash '08
Played: 0 | Download | Duration: 00:00:00
Debbie Kauble, formerly Debbie Jordan of Budd Hopkins' Intruders fame, takes us on a journey through a possible UFO crash in her hometown last week and into her thoughts on her own experiences. Fascinating stuff and REAL.

Great show. I know Deb - she sounded just like she is in real life - straight-up truth teller, tying to keep it going as a wife and mother, and keeps running into these damn, weird experiences. And I wonder what the hell actually happened in Kokomo?
Deb's had a ton of weird experiences and sounds as though she's done a great job of working through them. I could see another show very easily expanding on her seeming 'military' connected experiences - similar to those of Katharina Wilson (who also might be a good guest. I think Katharina may be working on some alien suit patches lately. Ii might make for an interesting rountable discussion.

This is right up there with significant interviews given anywhere and on more than a few levels, Jeremy.
Too, it should provide a little reassurance to the doom and gloom crowd that its not all aliens eating our heads, you know? Like scared kids going to camp for the first time, a refinement of conditions leading to a new expanded potentiality. Not all good, you know, but not all bad, either.

Thanks, Alfred. I re-listened to the Whitley Strieber 2012 interview today. I don't know why. But I caught some stuff in there I hadn't the last thousand times I listened to it. There are some things he says toward the middle/end about the Grays' sense of consciousness and what our role in this is that smacked of such a truth it's no wonder it took this long to hear it.
I, like most in ufology, have been guilty of dividing abduction theory camps along the Strieber/Hopkins fault line. Having spoken with Debbie, it's preeeeeeetty clear there is no line between Strieber's take and Hopkins' clients' (of which Strieber was one once, no?) And so once again I'm left with the feeling of, "Okay, nonexperiencers. Thank you so much for all the hard work and heart you've put into this but...we'll take it from here."

Another great interview.
Debbie mentions a website that hosts recordings of the police communications at the time. It would be great to post links to these if you have them.

Jeremy, you've raised the issue of the connections between "alien/UFO" events and other paranormal events a number of times. Could you perhaps go into your ideas in this regard a bit more? (at your leisure of course)...

Thought she made a good point about Jacobs and Hopkins being at the emergency end of the phenomenon. If that's all they really investigate, it would be harder for them to move past their view. Shame too because Deb has obviously moved on.
I was also intrigued with her suggestion that, because we are all connected, waking up of one person would serve a natural process for the awakening of others. I'd never given that any thought, but it's worth some time.

I hadn't heard of Debbie before, so thank you for introducing her to us. As always, you were able to invoke an insightful interview that looked at the phenomenon over some wide ranging ground. You also have a natural gift for making your guests feel quite comfortable which allows the conversation to evolve organically - very enjoyable.
This idea though that these experiences might be for the betterment of mankind does raise the hackles of many people. I'm undecided in that regard. I think that it's not necessary to terrify your "students" to help them evolve spiritually. I found it interesting that she said post-hysterectomy they lost interest in her. If there were no other agenda but her spiritual enlightenment (and by extension, all of humanity's enlightenment), one has to wonder why not having a uterus would matter?

I may be one of the few people here (and in the world?) who have Debbie's original hard cover book ABDUCTED, which I rushed to the shopping mall to buy a decade or 2 ago. Glad to know she is still around and presumably doing well.
I do see a potential danger of yet again creating a myth about the "aliens", even if that myth may originate from a particular group of abductees. I am not critical of Debbie per se, only a bit cautious of any view of "what is going on" that is just someone's opinion. So often it approaches almost a religious furvor, and that scares me. If you surf the web, and pop into ufo abductee sites created by and for Christian fundamentalists, you get a very different view of what is going on. So which is right, the one that just happens to fit your personal psychology and personality? Is that a valid test of truth? Don't we need more than just peoples' opinions? Jeremy says it is time for the abductees to take command of this situation, but which abductees? We have abductees from all walks of life with a myriad of different views on this situation from demonic to angelic. Who you gonna stamp as having the Truth (copywrite pending)?

I have the hardcover too! There's two of us!
As far as abductees taking command, the only rule I can think of would be that even if you think you have a legit answer, you've got to be open to being 100% wrong. Let the evidence lead you where it leads you and be suspicious when it leads straight to your belief system.
Odds are, people who want to "take command" who already "know" what this is aren't in it to find anything out. They're in it to control the narrative because that's what we have to do to sustain the lie that we know. Welcome to dictatorship.
Question for Bassett, if you're reading this: Since you have an inside source who is telling you the U.S. is about to disclose, sometime around Spring, 2009...What is your job in that? If your job is to push for disclosure and some military dude tells you they're about to then isn't your job done?

Well -- for my part, I plan to stay so far up this thing's nose it'll feel my knees on its top lip, knowuttamean?
No one is an island, right? The watcher must in turn be watched... a rule of law must rule and be legitimately self-leveling.
Nothing beyond criticism... even Jeremy as sacrilegious as that may sound; certainly Ms. Kauble forgetting her long history of non-disgrace, vetted experience, and rational aspect. I suspect she's a real person and certified sane, just stressed.
I'm betting that in subsequent interviews this lady is going to uncork and tell you what she really thinks 'bout stuff, I'm betting. We ain't seen the last'a her and the first of her rocks you back on your heels.
