Fans Of Me... HEAR ME.
Hey, listeners of the show and readers of the website....
Let's take a vote on whether or not you want a message board. See the What did you think of this article, poll? Let's use that.
YES = You telling me: "You're retarded. You should have made a message board ages ago. Of course I want you to kill off the comments section and create a message board through www.cultureofcontact.com"
NO = You telling me: "Dude, too many message boards. Just keep it simple. Keep the comments section as it is. I can ignore the assholes I don't like and who needs a fucking emoticon list anyway?"
NO OPINION = You telling me: "I don't give a shit; just let me know what's going on."
Vote Now!
[Note: the comments section is now open to discuss your vote but not to vote in and not to vote in as a joke because I said not to vote in it. I'm on to you.]

I ended up voting "no" because I like having the comments section in the same location as the podcasts. Even if the comments do devolve to name-calling and other off topic stuff, at least some of them do revolve around the interview.
Also, when using the search feature in the blog section, you get not only links to the interviews, but to comments made about that particular search term. I like that!
I also like the current egalitarian nature of the comments section, meaning people don't have these ratings and stars under their nick, indicating that they might be somehow more special than anyone else who posts.
I'm not opposed to a message board. Not at all. I would only like to see the interview comments kept with the interviews.
And Jeremy, if you plan to go the message board route, I hope you have a handful of willing admins to help you keep the spambots, trolls etc at bay. It can be a real-time consuming effort (which I'm sure you're aware of).
All right, that's my two cents worth.

Yeah, I agree with lotusland. It would be cool if you had message boards, but having the ability to comment directly on each episode is nice too. It's a paralyzing conundrum.
For what it's worth, I'd be happy either way.
