The thing I appreciate most about the website is that they're always restructuring and adding cool new features & graphics. They also bother to create trailers for themselves like this one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YIm40ONlaQ

Culture of Contact started out as a means of bringing together various ufo/paranormal web entities under one umbrella. Perhaps it's time to get back to that starting there: By making Mabus my online home away from home.

Wanna join me? It's free. And we can use naughty words. You know I'm a fan of that.
UFO Magazine Readers Want To Know Where I've Been....

People keep asking me why I've not appeared in UFO Magazine in quite some time and the answer is because they rejected a couple of my articles. The second article I'll post below--but note that what I wrote in the first paragraph as to why UFO rejected the previous article, isn't the whole story. Some things will remain private and this is one of them. Suffice to say they didn't want to run it and I respect that as it's their magazine, their choice, no harm no foul.

The second article, however--the one I'm printing here--I mean OUCH! In retrospect I can totally see why they wouldn't want to run it. It's pretty brutal. Mainly they didn't like me "attacking" fellow writers at the magazine. They didn't mind my criticism of the magazine itself and, in fact, encouraged me to rewrite it only as such. I refused because my main beef is with one writer in particular, the intolerable Kate Mucci.

I've never met her; I'm sure she's a great person. End disclaimer.

I did run this article by Alfred Lehmberg shortly after I wrote it and although he doesn't agree with me--and I actually like his criticism. I think it's fair and hope he makes it into an article someday--he thought it was intellectually honest and so wasn't offended by my barbs.

Still, I do punch so many people in the face here, I can see why UFO wouldn't want to run it. I suggested they run it like a top secret document, markering out all of the offensive lines but...reading it back...there are too many.

Okay, so all of this preface is to say that A.) This is why I've not been in UFO Mag in a while B.) DO NOT take this to mean that I feel UFO Magazine is censoring me beyond acceptable practice C.) I'll be back in their pages next issue.

I harbor zero ill will. I just want to publish the damn article so here it is. End disclaimer.

More Cowbell

Hey, remember that follow-up story I was supposed to have
published here regarding the big change in ufology from scientainment to
something substantial? Whelp, turns out UFO
wouldn’t print it. They said it needed “more Vaeni,” meaning there wasn’t
enough of my own writing. In it, I quoted heavily from other people, including
an entire email exchange between Nick Redfern and me.

More Vaeni. Right.
It got me to thinking that, with the influx of new readers due to the success
of UFO Hunters, what this column
really needs is a new introduction to me and what this magazine needs is not
more Vaeni but less crap (we’ll get to Kate Mucci in a minute) and less
incestuous assumptions that the general reader even has a clue who we’re
talking about when we reference without context lesser-known ufological
characters.

So now who am I? Why am I here? I’m an alien abductee or
“experiencer” if you prefer. For the sake of argument I’ll say that whatever
this ultimately means, it applies to me. If it means I’m suffering delusions,
fine. If it means aliens interact with me, fine. If it means some trickster
force pretending to be delusions of aliens is suckling at the teat of my soul,
fine. Whatever it is, it’s there and I’ve written about it, shot a movie about
it, talked about it publicly, and so on and so forth. I’m not going to give my
full resume here but tell you that getting to the truth of this is important,
personal business to me and even though I make a lot of crass jokes (we’ll get
to Kate Mucci in a minute), I’m feeling more and more responsible for how and
what I promote in this field. I think anyone vying for the public’s attention
has a duty to make sure they know what they’re talking about, within reason,
and care enough not to promote known, case-closed charlatans. Even my pal, Tim
Binnall, who hosts the Binnall of America podcast, won’t promote known
charlatans. I single him out because he is more interested in the personalities
behind the stories in this field than getting to “the truth.” He doesn’t think that’s
even possible—so even a guy with that bent will not promote known hoaxers and
con artists. This brings me to Kate Mucci….

Last night I was on the can, filling it with stew and my
pupils with UFO Magazine. Thank Zeus
I was already seated because by the time I got through Ms. Mucci’s glowing
review of Michael Horn’s DVD The Silent
Revolution of Truth, I was ready to shit myself. Seriously, Kate?—If you
had been in front of me, and I not on the toilet, I would have accidentally
vomited on your head. If you, the reader, are offended by the imagery in this
paragraph, fantastic! Now you have a sense of how I feel anytime I read an
endorsement of lies about a subject that affects my life like no other.

In her convolutedly titled farticle, Believing Is Not Knowing, Mucci writes:

“Despite the shrill protestations of the debunkers who
continue to assert that Billy is faking the thousands of photos and videos he
has acquired during his experiences, there can be no doubt that this one-armed
farmer in Switzerland has had amazing contact with beings from a distant star
system.”

The Flat Earth Society called, Kate. They want their
argument back.

If you missed it, the flick documents the claims of a
one-armed Swiss farmer named Billy Meier who says he’s had a lifetime of open
contact with aliens. He has the pictures and film to prove it. Except they’re
fake. And the guy directing the documentary, Michael Horn, is the American
representative for Meier. This is like Karl Rove directing a pro-war
documentary on Iraq—you
might want to check the sources before giving it a glowing review.

Might. But do you
have to? What is Kate’s responsibility? Or “Old As” Dirk Vander Ploeg, another
contributor to the magazine who gushes over this hoax? Is it anything? What
about Alfred Lehmberg? He showed me his positive review of the Horn movie prior
to its publication. Alfred’s take on any contactee experience that makes a
splash is that there must be something magical/mystical behind it or else we
wouldn’t be talking about it. What else but the real sparks our imagination
thus, he wonders? Hey, I know! The
imagination! That’s right! The imagination sets off imagination every bit
as wonderfully as the real events it sometimes ponders and reorganizes. This is
one of the benefits of having rich interior domains that transcend instinct as
we humans do. We can even daydream about nothing at all while the world blows
up around us. We’re fascinating that way.

I shared with Alfred my—make that Bruce Maccabee’s, Jacques
Vallee’s, Jeff Ritzmann’s, Timothy Good’s, David Biedny’s, Nick Pope’s, Derek
Bartholomaus’, Paul Kimball’s, an average five-year-old’s, some goldfish I
showed it to’s—misgivings about the…um…evidence. Yet and still he went on to
write said glowing review made passable only by the closer: “Give it a watch,
even as a total fabrication and complete invention it is instructional because
the truth of all things beckoning us will be just that kind of weird, only
weirder I'm thinking.”

Kate Mucci did not write that. Kate Mucci wrote that Billy
is clearly in contact with aliens and anyone opposed to this notion—you know?
Experts in photography, film, and special effects?—are shrill debunkers. Madam,
me thinks thou doth protest retardedly.

Kate’s not just a writer like the other fellows, she’s also
co-host of the paranormal talk show, Out
There TV, which airs in the U.S.
and all over Europe. One assumes she has a
much larger audience than they and I combined. Would it kill her to perform a
simple Google search and find how Horn and Meier have been put to sleep time
and time again? Like the undead they rise claiming, “No one has been able to
put us down….No one has been able to put us down…” And then morons wash, rinse,
and repeat based solely on this claim by them. It’s as if a proper, equal
opposite rebuttal to all the proof in the world is, “But does that really prove anything?”

Actually, it’s not like
that, it is that and the answer is yes it does. That’s the nature of proof,
Kate, Dirk, Alfred, Tito, Jermaine, and Michael—IT PROVES THINGS.

Yeah, but what about all that expert testimony used in the
flick to support the reality of the UFO footage, huh? What about that? Again,
do your homework: Those experts have not panned out. Horn is misrepresenting
most them. The credible ones. They say so themselves in written correspondences
found at abovetopsecret.com. Seek them out. It’s your job. If it’s not your
job, what is? If you’re not an experiencer, historian, philosopher, expert—what
is your job? Just someone with a curiosity who can slap words together monthly?
What qualifies your voice to be heard over anyone else’s?

If the writers aren’t capable of delivering material worthy
of the long bus then what about the magazine itself? Does UFO see any value in quality control? We have a lot more readers
now, eh? So what do you want to feed them? Facts or lazy journalism? Truth or
wish fulfillment? Sorry to pick on you so badly here but I have a bit more
vested interest in this than sales stats and don’t really want to be writing
for a magazine that promotes known, proven, debunked garbage alongside genuine
research performed by the likes of Stanton Friedman and Bruce Maccabee, as if
it’s of equal value.

So here I am picking on the editor. I understand that the
goal of the magazine is to sell advertisements and to appeal to a wide
audience. I also understand that I’m not always going to agree with everything
coming through here. But known hoaxers? Come on! You said yourself circulation
has grown dramatically. How about a little discretion now that you can afford
it? Does it not hold that many of the new readers are likewise new to ufology,
and in plunking down cash for this periodical, expect to learn something
real-ish from experts and educated pundits? Can we at least agree to cordon off
the bobble-headed whimsy in its own leper section so visitors know to protect
their eyes when reading?

If I’m wrong, tell me. Tell me what the mission statement of
UFO Magazine is. Tell us all. Again,
I want to stress, my only concern is that known junk is being promoted. I’m not
even talking about the column by that New Age dude with the Gandalf beard or
the radio show host who thinks moon gas is an angel. Purely the hoaxers hoaxing
is my dilemma. Meier’s UFOs are only unidentified in that we don’t know the manufacturer
of the toys and garbage can lids floating before the lens.* How apropos he used a garbage can lid for one
of them. He may have lost an arm but his sense of humor is intact. So is mine.
It’s my tolerance for BS that’s missing.

If nothing else, New Reader, I want you to know that there
are those of us who will not put up with frauds. It’s been said that I and all
abductees are in the same category as a Billy Meier, but we’re not. Yes, you
have to choose whether you believe my story and what it is you believe about
that story. This is because I come before you with nothing more than anecdotal
evidence and my word. Sucks, right? On
the other hand, what I don’t come before you with is fake photos. Billy does. So
what’s to decide? He’s decided for you that he is not to be believed. Now try
telling that to the writers and editors here in whom you put your trust and
your money to know the difference.

Am I being too harsh? After all, the magazine did take out a
blossoming scam artist named Dr. Dan Burisch not too long ago. Danny boy
claimed to speak to an alien at a secret military facility but his background
didn’t check out. So the magazine is capable of outing the awful. They also
weren’t afraid to dedicate an entire issue to squeezing the life out of Project
Serpo, a lame concoction from bored minds at the CIA. And I haven’t seen too
much in support of Stephen Greer, yet another man with a preposterous set of
stories. He sang a show tune at a press
conference, wears muscle shirts, has a lisp and a limp wrist, and—get
this!—claims to be heterosexual! Does that add up? Oh, also something about
aliens or something. I don’t know. Is he even a doctor? I hear that part is
true.

It’s ironic that the biggest piece of ufological fiction in
history, The X-Files, got it right
with their two seemingly paradoxical slogans: “Trust No One” and “The Truth Is
Out There.”

Both are facts. The former needn’t be. If we don’t want to
demolish scientainment can we at least make a vow to not willingly sell the tainment part as science?

------------------------------------------------

*NOTE:
Actually, we might. The drum lid used for the “wedding cake” UFO probably comes
to us via Harcostar and the nozzle of the real(ly plastic) alien ray gun
probably comes to us courtesy of the friction motor Super Jet Ray Gun, a
child’s toy made in Japan.

Culture of Contact Episode 44: David Huggins Sluttin' His Stuff

Artist and intergalactic baby daddy David Huggins takes us through his

It won't be for sale at Amazon, just through me. It comes with a bonus 6th disk - Whitley Strieber's 2012: The War For Souls book launch. (Thanks, Whit!) If you want to pre-order it, drop me a line at: jeremy@valiens.com. I don't have the price in front of me but I believe it's $45. If not I'll correct it tonight.

Lastly, and on a whole other note, I wanna thank Bill Birnes at UFO Magazine. Bill takes a lot of shit from a lot of people in this field. I don't know how much of it is deserved but I can tell you that I've not seen an inkling of any of the complaints I've heard thus far. In fact, the opposite. We are financial & production partners for this festival, yet I set the price. I negotiated with the theater. I didn't consult with him beforehand, just did it and said, "Okay, what do you think?" If he wanted to he could sue me or tell me, "Screw you, Vaeni, I want out of our contract." But he didn't. He said let's do it--and can we use the money you owe me from last year as a down payment?

He never even asked me for what I owed him from last year in all this time.

This is who Bill Birnes is--and for all ye speakers who toe the line that Birnes did Corso wrong when co-authoring his book, you don't know what you're talking about. The fact that he's friends with the Corso family to this day should tell you that.

Anyway, completely different tangent. Just needed to say it. Thank you, Bill. And thank you all for your support.

Me? However, do check out Jeff's site and his episode this week featuring his very own wife finally breaking her silence on what she's experienced!

http://www.thesecondeclipse.com/

Hold onto your hats, folks, the weird got weirder....

So last night, I did a 2 hour interview for Jeff Ritzmann's podcast. We chatted for a half hour then were unceremoniously disconnected. Fine. Happens. We reconnected and went on for another hour and a half. One of the
main points we touched upon is that quite possibly these people we call alien are
interdimensional beings who need us to perceive them for them to be
real in our spatial reality. If true, Jeff wondered if one of the ways they do this is to leave marks on the body of experiencers. It's generally held that these are
space doctors taking skin samples, but what if they
aren't? What if they're leaving evidence that is incontrovertible proof to
the person on whose body these marks appear and that's the function
they serve - To say WE'RE HERE. DEAL WITH IT in a manner you can't ignore?

We also considered whether this was evil or or not. Anytime
Jeff would tell them to go away because he thought they were evil
they'd respond, "Are you sure?"

There's always a sardonic riddle at the center of what they do, prodding
us to confront them as a question. My take is that to give an answer we
can understand would be evil. To say "We're aliens." Or "Yup, we're
gods" would be evil because they're not that and we'd be stunted in our
growth and our "relationship" with them by having false answers. So
they don't answer it. They ask us to ask "What are you?"

We talked about differences in spirituality between East and West. Judeo-Christian doctrine gives us a loving father figure who takes care of us and gives us hope and continuance in an afterlife. What Jeff describes, however, is more like Zen - talks in riddles, no god outside oneself, smacks the student with a stick because that is more compassionate and effective in spurring growth than coddling and giving answers and safety. Jeff doesn't know about any of this stuff. I dunno if he even cares and that makes it more interesting to me that he's experiencing the rules of the game by way of a system that isn't what he knows or cares about.

Debunkers can't say he's experiencing delusions based on cultural cues. That answer is ruled out.

Okay, so Jeff wakes up this morning and says it looks like he was
beaten up. He's got anomalous marks on several areas of his body, including a cut-like line running from his ankle to
his shin that is healing as I write.

Jeff
broke a molar a few days ago. It was sharp, jagged, and cutting his tongue to blood when he spoke for too long. He was planning on taking the inevitable trip to the dentist to get that fixed but when he woke up this morning, along with looking like he'd been mugged, that molar was rounded and looked polished. He says he's taking pictures of everything, so that's good.... Oh, and
that hour and a half of the interview after we got cut off and
reconnected? All static. He didn't want to ask me to redo the interview but damn if I don't want to.

So there ya go. How do you make sense of it? Do you make sense of it? I do and I can't see another way except the ineffective fall-back term coincidence....

This intelligence erased the interview so he'd know that what follows is in response to our conversation. They marked his body as if to say, "Yup. That's why we do it," which doubles as an admission that they are interdimensional beings, not space doctors.

They fixed his tooth as if to say, "Yes that looks evil erasing your show and fucking you up, but...Are you sure?" I doubt they'd ever come out and say "We are or aren't," as clearly they live in the question and ask us to engage them on that level.

That's my takeaway. I asked Jeff during the interview if he thinks there's a confluence of skeptical experiencers trying to force these beings to emerge in a tangible way right now. He said no.

I think you know my next question, Jeff....

Oct. 16-18 Culture of Contact Fest Tix Now On Sale For SUPER INEXPENSIVE!

Wanna go to a UFO conference in the 5th borough of NYC, Jersey City, that's so cool it's not a conference, it's a festival?

Wanna do that for dirt cheap?

Go to www.cultureofcontact.com read all about it and use the discount code MYTH for a discount on top of your built-in discount. Instead, This....

This is something I wrote in April, 2004. I have it posted as is on a blog site I rarely use so odds are you've never read it. In lieu of a new podcast this week, I'm forking this over. I forget how much or little I've actually spoken about this energy I've got rolling around the body. I wrote an unpublished book about it and I think because of that, and the fact that I reference it often and tell the I AM experience I let loose on Warning Radio often enough, that I assume we all know what I'm talking about. I mean, duh! I friggen wrote about it already! (In. An. Unpublished book. Good job, Jer.)

It's notably odd how the answers presented here have faded like a dream and I find myself questioning what this stuff is over and over again, unaware that I answered a lot of it years ago. What is that? Mental fuge? Too much aluminum in my diet? Or is it what happens when you teeter between the now state and time--you have to keep questioning anew because the answers, even the correct ones, become a roadblock to the now state.

They certainly do, because you cannot approach the now. It either is or it isn't. It either is you or it isn't. To speak it, to speak of it, is to kill it on impact. Speaking of it, writing of it, brings it into time and thus its death. From that dead thing, that word, that utterance, we ponder it and because we ponder it we are not being it.

One of the big misconceptions we have when we talk about such things is that we can't describe anything of the now, of "god," or what have you, because it's so much bigger than our definitions. It's a misconception because none of the well-bearded sages of yore meant that it's impossible to encapsulate in definitions and descriptions. What they meant was it's impossible to experience through those definitions and descriptions and so to blab about it beyond saying "It's true," is fruitless. Rather, it's fruitful in a very wrong direction: It is the beginning of belief systems and therefore separation and war.

I'm tempted to do a podcast about all of this energy business--start at the beginning and bring you to present--but I'll leave that up to you. Is that self-indulgent nonsense or self-indulgent nonsense that you want to hear? Let me know. Meantime, here's the blog post....

I Am Not At Your Window ... or .. Get To Steppin'

Wednesday
I had a job interview with a prominent New York TV production house.
The very first question the first producer put to me was, “So what is
your book about?”

“Do
you really want to know?” I asked. I was slightly nervous because it’s
difficult to pinpoint exactly what my book is about. I figured that by
calling it, I Know Why The Aliens Don’t Land!, nobody would ever ask. It’s
obviously about why aliens don’t land and almost obviously humorous. To
that end, I included the article “the” and a giant exclamation mark in
the title.

In response, she nodded and said, “Yeah,” when what she meant was, “Duh! I asked the question, didn’t I?”

I
told her and the supervising producer that it’s sort of a mind opening
device disguised as a book. It’s autobiographical but it’s not a very
straightforward thing at all. And then the supervising producer chimed
in with, “You trying to start a cult?”

“No-no,” I stated flatly, “that’s the sequel.”

They laughed. I didn’t get the job.

I
understand the stigma attached to alien abductions and how easy it is
to peg anyone claiming to interact with aliens as a lunatic of some
sort, or an outright liar. That’s partly why I wrote my book: I’m no
New Age space case and I’m certainly not a hoaxer. I don’t want to form
a cult. I don’t even want to instill the kinds of fear it takes to sell
products.

Here—I’ll prove it….

Three
readers of my book have told me that since reading it, they’ve suffered
a nightmare or some kind of nighttime experience involving aliens and
me. Two of them sound purely like dreams: I come through their bedroom
window with some bald aliens and we abduct them. It’s frightening but
it’s just a nightmare. This reminds me of when I was going through the
bulk of my abduction experiences in high school and confiding them in
friends. Inevitably many of them would relate similar nightmares or
start to think they were being abducted—as if I have the power to
unleash evil alien fury upon them.

The
other “nightmare” or “experience,” or whatever it was happened to a
close relative. The basic gist of it was that this alien presence told
him, verbally and with a demonic voice, that they were going to
take me and there wasn’t anything he could do about it. Kind of like,
“You’re powerless. Tough shit.” He was asleep in his bed when this
happened. It was a long experience, too, about a half hour. He knows
this because that’s how long it took his wife to wake him up. She shook
him and yelled his name but he couldn’t come out of it. There’s more to
the experience than that but I don’t really wanna harp on it. For all I know it was a bad dream in a deep sleep. But elements of it sounded very familiar.

I certainly recognize the demonic voice.

Now
if I wanted you to believe in me like a cult leader I would tell you
with conviction that all of this is real and I am working with aliens
or in direct communication with them or something to that effect. Like any good cult leader, I ‘d lie; like any great cult leader, I would believe that lie.

Instead, just like in the book, how about I give you the facts as I see them?

FACT: reading frightening material may produce nightmares. That’s
obvious enough; however, when the frightening topic is true and
abstract and could happen to anyone, it’s easier to mistake normal
night terrors for genuine experience. This all hinges on the dreamer’s suggestibility.

So relax! It ain’t me in your bedroom.

FACT: the
mind is indeed a tricky thing. We humans tend to divide our minds into
the subconscious and the conscious. The mind is primarily the brain’s
response to an apparent division between objects, as interpreted by our
senses, and to the fact of death. That is what the mind is; how it is
filled depends upon one’s upbringing, culture, etc. You know, all the
filters and prejudices we incur and adjust as we age.

FACT: alien abductions do not fit into any known psychological ill. They are not dreams or hallucinations. Many are real, physical events—but not all. This
has baffled researchers who think that perhaps aliens influence
abductees via implants or by some high-tech device that interferes with
brain waves. This has also emboldened skeptics who think that alien
abduction experience can be induced using the right machinery. There
have been a bunch of studies that show similarities between alleged
abductions and what can be replicated in a lab. All one has to do is
listen to the lab rats and listen to the alleged abductees to learn
that what’s produced in the experiments is a shell of a thing compared
to the real experience. Inducing someone to see a fearful silhouette in
their peripheral vision is a far cry from the narrative structure and
consistency abductees share. Get real!

FACT: but not all. Remember the, but not all
from above? Yeah, many abductions are not physical experiences. And
they aren’t due to implants. And they aren’t due to brainwave
interference. There is something more to humans than meets the eye or
any of the senses for that matter. This is because there is something
more to us than our bodies, which produce our minds. We’re
not our brain/egos alone. In fact, dissolve the ego and you will find
that there is another piece of human biology that lies in wait. There
is a different energy that inhabits our bodies fully when the brain is
not expending its own energy to run the show and thus block out that
other energy. Its subtle influence can be felt
in the form of insight. It is the well from which insight, creativity,
and that deep feeling of spirituality spring forth when we let our
guard down, give up, or give over to a “higher power.” All of that is a
mere taste of our potential.

THE FACT IS,
there is an opening in, for lack of a better term, our ethereal body.
The opening is located at the base of the spine. This is where waveform
energy enters us and becomes its particulate form. It becomes thought
and action, which we perceive to be our own. (It is our own in that
it’s expressed within our individual bodies, but those individual
personalities we mistakenly call “the soul” are again, nothing more
than a sentient brain’s necessary illusion. We greet the material world
using our own material processes.)

I hope this is still making sense!—bear with me!

So
through that opening comes alien influence. “Alien” meaning any outside
waveform being, or solid being using the waveform to inject its
presence into the opening. I hope this description isn’t too vague or
abstract. It IS very real, this opening. And everything I’ve just said
about it is true on one level, but a higher truth is that all is one.
All of the apparent things that make up the universe are really one
thing. This whole “separate objects” point-of-view is not the
point-of-view of Truth, it’s the point-of-view of Brain. Some of you
will nod and say, “I knew that,” some will scoff, and some will wonder
if I’m stealing from The Matrix trilogy. None of that
matters. What you think about this does not matter. Throw out your
opinions, your feelings, your defenses—your selves. Understanding only
happens when the “me” is silent. When you are silent, you will
understand all of this because you will experience a much broader, far
richer world around you. It may be scary in retrospect but at the
moment of clarity, there is no fear.

And
as things get clearer and clearer and you start to wonder if aliens are
talking to you or demons or angels or fairies or whatever it is that
comes through that opening, you may scare yourself silly. Just keep
going, because beyond that lies TRUTH in capitol letters. The TRUTH is,
through that opening we taste the universe in one gulp.
Nothingness…everythingness…the fabric of our being is the fabric of the
universe, planet by planet, star by star—all life, all objects, and no
thing whatsoever all at once.

Yes,
the FACT is, we manifest as fear-filled animated objects dividing the
world around us as our senses dictate. The TRUTH is, we are TRUTH. We
are GOD. Not a piece of god; not the sons and daughters of god—God.

Incidentally, beware the ones who declare, “I am God.” Anyone who tells you that IS lying. This is not paradoxical, it’s just that we can only understand this intellectually—if at all—until we let go the ego, the “me.”

Okay,
so I just babbled semi-coherently much like a cult leader, but without
asking for your belief in me. This “Jer could be nuts” argument isn’t
exactly a closed case, nor is the “Oh, he’s lying,” toss away line. So
I will sweeten the pot. I will put up or shut up, as it were. I’m
telling you there’s an opening connected with our physical bodies by an
ethereal body that hovers in superposition around the physical. I’m
telling you that through this opening other beings may influence us.
I’m telling you that that stops when, through this opening, we
experience ourselves as the universe and as nothingness, for then we
understand not logically but in the core of our being that there are no
entities influencing us because there is no us and there is no them.
Reality is ONE FABRIC and we ARE that fabric. I’m further telling you
that the reason this sounds so abstract is because it is transcendent
of logic. It is not logical—it is greater than logic—but unfortunately,
that which is not logical may only be interpreted by logic as either
irrational or an ideal.

It’s
not irrational—this is not some New Age superstition. It’s not an
ideal—we can and in fact MUST do this now. There is no mystical future
to strive for here. Time is not involved. It’s simple: When you stop
talking and listen with the intent to listen (as opposed to listening
with the intent to respond) something totally revolutionary takes place
in your body.

Okay: still babbling; sorry. Put up or shut up. Right. * Ahem * …deep breath…

I
can “produce” in my body an energy that is not normally present. This
is different than when one’s brain waves switch over to Alpha in a deep
meditative state (although I’m sure that happens with my brain too). If
there is any serious researcher at the university level reading this
who studies consciousness, biology, or whatever category this
ultimately falls under, I wanna be your lab rat. I will show you what
I’m talking about and I feel certain there must be a way to measure it.

We’re
talking about the enlightenment process here—you know, the one the
Buddhas and Christs and Krishnas of the world go through to “achieve”
godhead. This is happening to me and I’m a total slob of a human. A
real train wreck. I am spirituality for dummies. At the risk of
sounding more grandiose than I already may, I think this is happening
to me because, for whatever reason, it finally CAN happen to the
average undisciplined Joe/Jane. I really wanted to sit on this
information until my next book but I think it’s wrong, morally. I think
I need to usher this TRUTH in as FACT to a world whose sanest patrons
only believe in facts.

Facts
in their purest form are a description of this living truth. The
reverse is never the case because truth transcends—is broader
than—fact. That which transcends something must also include in its
makeup the thing it transcends. What this tells us is that
consciousness transcends and includes the physical. Therefore, Truth
must have a physical correlate. There is no no-thing without thing. The religious among us are thing pretending to be both thing and no-thing. The nonreligious pretend to be just thing. But in truth there is no division—just our cunning brains blocking out the fact of it, the truth of it, the living it.

I’m
telling you there is a gateway by our lower spine that translates the
intention of no-thing into action within our bodies. Ultimately, the
intention of no-thing is to wakeup the physical world to the fact of
its God-ness. This is the pinnacle of sentience, which is the type of consciousness exclusive to humans (and other highly evolved beings).

Humanity
doesn’t have a gift over plants and animals, we have a charge. Our
charge is to wake up. That’s our duty. Other beings may nudge us but it
is we who must wake. Let’s
get to it. Enough of the religious and cultish horseshit. I’ll take the
first step only if you will step with me, not follow. As
Jiddu Krishnamurti pointed out, “The fist step is the last step.” He’s
dead now. Only Truth lives forever. Our first/last step is out of time.
We’ve got eternity literally at our backs.

Who dares to move? Who dares to see this?

_______________________

Note:
words themselves create division. Even though I’m talking about another
energy that enters my body and talking about a “you” that exists
beneath the façade of you, that doesn’t mean there’s a conflict. The
discrepancy is that 1.) language is a barrier and 2.) these
divisions are only surface appearances like ripples in a pond. Since we
see ourselves as ripples, it’s hard to talk about us as POND, for even
the word “us” is a division that does not exist.

Jeremy on Warning Radio

http://warningradio.info/Warning%3A/Archive!/Entries/2008/5/26_Jeremy_Vaeni.html

The above link will bring you to a radio show I did on Monday. It's confounding to me. I'd love to jade your thinking with my take and then ask your opinion on it. So here's me jading you. Then give it a listen and let me know if I'm off my rocker or they just hear what they want to hear because reductionist thinking is what keeps some experiencers feeling sane. I like the debating aspects of the interview but the after chat seems way off to me as I told the producer in the following email for which I've received crickets in response....

Hi, Carol:

I listened to the episode's post-show chat last night
and was surprised to hear that even these smart people (which are hard
to come by in paranormal radio)--including a guy who says he's an
abductee--did the ol' "we hear what we want to hear" routine.

I'm curious if the cast takes anyone's story at face value or not?
If yes, then that's fine, actually, because it means you just didn't
take mine at face value--which I'm all for. It means something about
what I was saying didn't ring true or I didn't convey it well. But if
the answer is "No, never," then why do you have a show at all? Just to
then do a round table where you say "Yup, this is all subjective. Glad
that guy's experience is helping him personally but he'll never get
that it's all in his head."

Except for the one host who's an abductee. I assume his experiences are real.

I'm
glad we had a mini debate about sleep paralysis because that stuff
needs to get fleshed out. However, it's not because I'm married to a
belief that aliens came to me in my room--in fact I said over and over
I don't think this is aliens, necessarily. I don't know what it is.
Somehow this got translated after the segment into "Whelp, he's a guy
that firmly believes it's aliens and there's just no talking sense to
someone like that."

Huh?

Were we having the same conversation? I don't know
about aliens but I do know it's not sleep paralysis. How do I know
that? Because I wasn't asleep. And I wasn't paralyzed. So why isn't
that the end of that hypothesis? Sure, people are paralyzed during
abductions--but the correlation in "legit cases" is a false positive.
Just as there are both planes and birds in the sky, these two things
can coexist without having to wrongly reduce them into one just because
you're a fan of Occam's Razor.

I never said I thought my experiences should serve as proof enough
that this is all real. I said (basically) that the footage of me hooked
up to an EEG proves I'm not just making stuff up about this energy in
the body. Somehow, uttering the word "proof" in one very specific
context got translated into I think my whole story is proof of the
whole thing being real.

I don't normally write to shows but I think yours is a good one. I
just want to have this out there as a cautionary tale because I feel
like what's happening is this: You've got a guy who's an abductee but
intelligent and skeptical enough not to be a New Age flake and
certainly doesn't want to be lumped in with such. And he's flanked by
"experts" in various (possibly) related fields. Everyone wants to get
to the bottom of this as best they can, and rightfully so. But abductee
dude has a problem. The problem is, scientific materialism keeps him
grounded and so when something comes along that transcends this, he has
to reduce it to something logical. ANYTHING logical. Sleep paralysis...
mental illness... brain chemistry... And the abductions still happen.
But he's not crazy...not crazy--as proof he's got it in a box. It's all
under control.

Everyone's case has a prosaic explanation except his. He's not
questioning because he wants to find something out, he's questioning as
a defense mechanism to feel sane and secure with the unknown presence
infiltrating his life.

I get that. I do. I've played this game too--and sometimes I catch
myself doing it still. But dude, wake up. If it doesn't look like or
smell like sleep paralysis, it ain't sleep paralysis. The "but how do
you know?" carries no more weight than not being able to tell you I
know we had a conversation last night. How do I know I wasn't asleep
dreaming it?

Because I wasn't. The end. That's not zealotry, that's actually a
question answered. It's time to answer SOME questions or else we'll
never hear the signal in the noise. I think, ultimately, you've got a
good team of people to do that via the podcast, you just have to learn
to listen in a way where you're not hearing what you want to hear.

--jeremy

Culture of Contact Episode 39: Neil Freer, The Long Lost Interview

Neil Freer is one of the higher ups in the Greerian Exopol Movement as well as a Futant.

One of those terms I made up. The other he made up and applies to himself. Discuss.

This
is an interview I did many, many months ago (last year, I think) for
Book of Thoth. It never aired. Whelp, I'm airing it now so sit back,
relax, and enjoy the fresh air that is Neil Freer - The Long Lost
Interview!

It's an MP3. It's 61mbs. I tried to make it smaller
per the instructions posted in the Budd Hopkins interview but...they
don't work. Or I can't work them. It's self-explanatory so I don't
think it's me this time. Let's use that.

YES = You telling me: "You're retarded. You should have made a message board ages ago. Of course I want you to kill off the comments section and create a message board through <span">www.cultureofcontact.com"

</span">NO = You telling me: "Dude, too many message boards. Just keep it simple. Keep the comments section as it is. I can ignore the assholes I don't like and who needs a fucking emoticon list anyway?"

NO OPINION = You telling me: "I don't give a shit; just let me know what's going on."

Vote Now!

[Note: the comments section is now open to discuss your vote but not to vote in and not to vote in as a joke because I said not to vote in it. I'm on to you.]

Culture of Contact Episode 37 - Karyn Dolan Has Arrived

Karyn Dolan ain't just the wife of Richard Dolan, she's also a
